On February 11th, 2011, the leadership of the platform had a meeting in Moscow with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Mr. Mevljut Chavushoglu.


On February 11th, 2011 the leadership of BSCSIF Branch in Russian Federation (M. Zernov) and the «Dialogue Eurasia» platform (R.Rybakov, I.Tas) had a meeting with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Mr. Mevljut Chavushoglu, in Moscow . The meeting was also attended by public figures, diplomats and politicians. The discussion was concentrated on PACE chairman speech on the Role of the non-governmental organizations in a dialogue and world peace establishment.

The «Dialogue Eurasia» platform was established in 1998 to contribution to the establishment of dialogue in all Euroasian region. It also aims at strengthening peace and mutual understanding in the region, and promote Eurasian cultural and intellectual heritage worldwide. The platform currently carries out its activity in 12 countries.

On February 16th 2010, BSCSIF participated in the EURISC conference on opening the"European Islamophobia Study Center"


On February, 16th, 2010 BSCSIF representative, Mrs. Natalia Ciobanu took part in the conference organized by EURISC foundation on opening the "European center on Islamophobia research", which aims at developing the interreligious and intercultural dialogue in the countries of the European Union, and studying the various social phenomena, such as anti-Islamic movements and xenophobia. The center sees Romania as an example of good realtions with Muslim community at level of the European Union, intending to present its positive experience as a model among EU countries.

The Conference was a good oportunity for BSCSIF to understand the aims and objectives of the Center and to explore possible directions for cooperation between BSCSIF and EURISC foundation.

4th meeting of BSCSIF Board of directors


During the 4th BSCSIF Board meeting taking place on June 25th 2010, the decision to establish BSCSIF branches in Russian Federation (Moscow) and Belgium (Bruxelles), in addition to the existing branch in Turkey (Istanbul). Mr. Mikhail Zernov and Mr. Marius Opran were appointed as directors of the two branches.

Other proposals discussed included: Mr. Marius Opran’s proposal on incluing a BSCSIF representative in the structures of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum;  BSCSIF Vice-president from Turkey, Dr. Akkan Suver perspectives on economic cooperation between the countries represented in BSCSIF.

BSCSIF welcomed some new members, individuals and legal entities, including the Romenergo Company form Romania, Mr. Rustan Rakhmanaliev – professor,academician, PhD in historical and military sciences, the President of the World Committee on award of the Gold Medal of Chingiz Aitmatov, President of the Central Asian Academy of System Researches, Vice-president of the International Nobel Information Center;  Mr. Ioan Alexandru -President of the Romanian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ahmet Akuzum - Secretary General of the Romanian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Oztasar Company, Mrs. Gulnar Suleymanova, Mr. Vyacheslav Samoshkin – editor in chief of the BSCSIF journal «Dialogue of the seas».


5th meeting of BSSCIF Board of Directors took place in Brussells (Belgium) on December 9-10, 2010


During the 5th Board meeting the joint working program ofBSCSIF branches in Russian Federation and Turkey was analysed and approved for realization of the joint Russian-Turkish project based on innovative technological sollutions developed by Russian company “ECOS”. At the initiative of the Russian side, the Commission on Innovations and Investments of BSCSIF was established, and Mr. Mikhail Zernov was apointed as Chairman of the Commission.

The BSCSIF 2011 action plan was also discussed and approved. Among others, it included the organization of 10th international workshop of the Collaborative Working Group on solid waste management in low and moddle income countries entitled"Waste governance - sharing burdens, sharing benefits" by BSCSIF Branch in Turkey, in collaboration with "Green Partners" company from Romania, Istanbul Technical University and Municipality of Istanbul. Natalia Ciobanu was apporinted as the BSCSIF local coordinator of the project.

Following the proposal of Mrs. Lidia Romanciuc, BSCSIF Vice-president from Republic of Moldova, the Board additionally decided BSCSIF to take part part in the organization of 5th International Symposium on Ecological Chemistry, which is to take place on March 2-3, 2012 in Chisinau, Republic Moldova.

BSCSIF participated in the conference on “Problems of working women” in Ankara, Turkey


On 7th of March 2010, BSCSIF participated in the conference on “Problems of working women”, organized by Trade Union of Public Health Workers in Turkey and the International Eurasian Forum on Human Rights.

The event was organized on the occasion of the International Women's day, and BSCSIF representative Natalia Ciobanu presented BSCSIF plans and support in developing social dialogue in the region.
